Classic Kong SNES – An Exquisite Remake of an 8 Bit Original

Donkey Kong has played an important part of every gamer’s life. The game has been alive since the beginning of arcade gaming and home consoles. Donkey kong has evolved from being the antagonist to becoming a hero of a video game. The original Donkey Kong games featured Donkey Kong as an evil monkey that captures Mario’s apparent girlfriend, Paulie. The NES Donkey Kong offered 4 playable levels, each more difficult than the one before. The game had two objectives, save Paulie, and beat your score. Mario had to jump through flaming barrels and gaps in order to get closer to Paulie and defeat the evil Donkey Kong. Finally, when Mario traps Donkey at the top of the metal building frame, he courageously breaks off weak parts of the metal frame. Since Donkey is a fat and ugly gorilla, at least for the NES games, his weight betrays him, and he falls off the top of the metal frames. Once again, Mario has saved the day, now he and paulie can go and grab a burger or something! Several other sequels were released for the NES featuring Donkey Kong, but the more we got to know DK, the more we realized he wasn’t that evil; he was actually a really nice person, or ape.

At the beginning of the 90′s and the 16 bit era, Nintendo Released “Donkey Kong Country” Were Donkey Kong and his Cousin/brother/son/nephew/adoptive son/partner, Diddy Kong take off in a quest to recover the Donkey Kong Bananas! By this time, Donkey Kong was not an Evil ape anymore, but a Strong courageous and sometimes goofy, Hero. We can say that the SNES was the console that vindicated Donkey Kong and converted him into one of our favorite classic characters and a very profitable franchise for Nintendo. But wait! Where is the gamer’s opinion on the path Donkey Kong took since the first release for the NES? Have you ever questioned yourself, what would have happen if Donkey Kong was never evolved to be a hero? Where would he be now? Where would the franchise be at? Shiru, the developer of SNES homebrew Christmas craze, developed a game of what he thought the original Donkey Kong game would have looked like if it was released for the SNES. We are talking about “Classic Kong” a full 16 bit remake of the original NES Donkey Kong. They game features 4 Levels just like the original NES game. The remake was not intended to have 4 levels, for unknown reasons the devteam and publishers (Bubblezap) intended to do a release with only 3 levels. After they saw the great turn out of the game, they decided it was a good idea to give the missing stage to the fans (Missing Stage: The Cake Bakery Stage). For many collectors, this is a major item to own; unfortunately, Bubblezap and the developer had no intentions of doing a cart release for the game. Although, classic Kong was considered in another Homebrew Multicart release, the game was dropped due that the publisher feared Nintendo would take actions for the similarity of the SNES game to the original NES game and the Franchise over all. Retro Quest has taken the initiative to do a limited numbered release of the Classic Kong Cart; they will feature different cart editions at different prices. This will be a onetime only opportunity to own a copy of this piece of art. As well as the Classic Kong rom release, the news of a cart being released has excited the fan base; it is just a matter of getting the word out to the underground collector community (the ones that are really involved in obscure games, and homebrew releases) to find the right amount of interest and get the production run going.

The Classic Kong game will be featured to play online on a web based emulator somewhere around the corner (in a few weeks) on the Super Nintendo Community Facebook Page; other websites will also feature the game to play online to add heat to the passionate collectors. is a retro company that is currently working hard to develop new products for an old console. From SNES reproductions for sale, Snes reproduction boxes, SNES replacement shells, to new SNES Homebrew games being developed, they will not rest until the Super Nintendo is back on the top of the console wars again. Top Seven Surprises That Make A Great NightClub

Tuesday, December 25th, 2012

Does your favorite nightclub offer music that really resonates with you? It better. That’s the number one factor that makes a great place to hang out, dance, or spend time with friends. While music is not the only ingredient in the mix, it is very high on the list but trends cause changes almost constantly. How do club goers describe the special feeling that make a great club? Vibration, atmosphere, synergy.

Our survey took answers from satisfied customers and they agreed on a few things. Besides great music, a DJ can make a big difference in the way the night flows. The values of the age group sets the tone for the DJ to ‘read’ and if he or she is in tune with the general feeling, the flow can come alive. A few DJ’s have a lot of experience with this unspoken language and are able to pull it together.

More experienced patrons want a club’s surroundings to reflect their mature tastes. Younger people are just glad to be out and about but the more seasoned patrons demand a sense of style and taste. Decor that matches the lifestyle, images, videos, conversation pieces, and rounded corners help club goers relax.

Of all the elements that make a great club, the people are number one. That explains why so many clubs hand pick patrons to set the pace for others who might wander in. The right people make or break every club. A good vibe travels with a person and this is no more evident than in an atmosphere where mayhem could break out at the drop of a hat, but usually doesn’t. People love to be in a like minded place. A good club is a container for exactly that.

So far we have talked about music, people, interior design, and that leads to lighting. From open sky views, to optical illusions, pedestals, and stages, the design of a club is paramount to the right feel. But lighting can make or break the architecture. When the lights are right, the feeling is amazing. When the lights are horrible, the fun is sucked out of a club like water running downhill.

Our research has determined these seven elements make the difference between a good time and blah. Here are the last three that must be included. Excellent food, drinks, and the attraction of opposites – as in male and female. That’s the secret ingredient in any club. When a manager pulls all these together masterfully, he’s got a great place. Enjoy.

Charlotte night clubs come and go but this one maintains year after year and is considered one of the best anywhere.
When in Charlotte in need of a strip club, make it to the one place most frequented by the party people at the Democratic National Convention in 2012. Policy was decided here. Wink, Wink. Boresha ARG Matrix reviews

Choosing the Best Wedding Photographer for your Wedding

Sunday, December 23rd, 2012

A picture paints a thousand words. It captures great moments that eventually become great and long-lasting memories, that is why choosing the best photographer for your wedding day is very important. Some people even say that choosing the best wedding photographer is as significant as choosing who to marry – making impulsive decisions is never good.

Photography nowadays is very accessible. Everyone can simply get a camera and take a shot however and wherever he wants to. No wonder, everyone already considers themselves as photographers, but the truth is only a few of them really are. So you have to be careful in choosing your wedding photographer in your area and make sure that the person can really take exceptional pictures of your most special day.

Here are some pointers to guide you in choosing your wedding photographer:

1) Consider setting a budget before anything else. Remember that hiring a wedding photographer is as vital as the other elements of your wedding. You cannot make it perfect unless everything is prepared thoroughly. So wake up and be realistic about your budget. Find a wedding photographer who both suits your budget and meets your requirements.

2) Don’t be hasty in choosing your photographer. Other people book a photographer a year before their wedding while many others are booking at least two months prior to the big day. Nonetheless, it is not about how early or how late you book. It is about how careful you are in choosing a wedding photographer to hire. So, unless you have done proper research, do not make any final reservation yet.

3) Research. There are many good photographers but remember, the services of good photographers are always sought-after. There is a big chance that you will find a wedding photographer in no time but that does not necessarily indicate that the photographer will make it on your wedding day. So, ask your family and friends if they know any professional wedding photographers in your area, make a prospective list and from there, select your top choices before you make the final decision.

4) Evaluate their experience. See the sample works of your prospective photographers. Find out who is best at capturing the emotions and moments of the day. At the same time, see if that photographer suits your style. It would also be best if you set an appointment because you are probably going to spend a lot of time with him/her. Check out their wedding portfolio. Ask questions as much as possible to avoid confusion regarding the price and the wedding package itself.

Finding the best wedding photography service in your area is not a simple task. It would really take time before you meet the right one but as soon as you do, your wedding will surely be as perfect as you wished.

What Is The Order Of Flats And Sharps Again?

Sunday, November 18th, 2012

The key signature is the area between the clef sign and the time signature. In that space, you may have some flats or sharps written there. Have you noticed something about this? The sharps and flats always appear in the same order. This is called the order of flats and sharps.

If you have them memorized, then getting started playing will be an absolute breeze. The two main types of keys we play in are the sharp keys and the flat keys. Let’s take a look at each one to discover how we can read these a lot faster and easier.

The Order of Sharps

As we’ve already mentioned, the sharps listed in the key signature will always appear in the same exact order. This is referred to as the order of sharps: F#-C#-G#-D#-A#-E#-B#.

There’s an easy way to remember this by using this quick trick: Fat-Cats-Go-Down-Alleys-Eating-Birds.

Here’s another interesting observation. Along with appearing in the same order, these sharps will also be found in the same exact line or space every time. This is true for both treble clef and bass clef.

For example, the F# will always be listed on the top line in treble clef, the C# appears on the second space in bass clef, the G# is found sitting above the treble clef staff, and the D# is placed on the fourth line of the treble clef staff.

The Order of Flats

This is just as easy to memorize as the order of sharps. The flats will always appear in this order: Bb-Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Cb-Fb. A great way to remember this is by using this saying, “B-E-A-D-Go-Catch-Fish”.

Do you notice something else unique about these letters? The order of flats is the same as the order of sharps, but written backwards! If you have trouble memorizing both of these orders, just pick one to remember and then write it out again backwards to reveal the other order. That’s a nifty little trick!

It’s also true that each flat will appear on the same exact line or space every time, just like the sharps. The Bb will always be on the third line in treble clef, the Eb in the third space for bass clef, and Ab in the second space for treble clef.

So, why do the flats and sharps appear in the same order every time? This is to help you know what to play at a quick glance before you even get started. The order of flats and sharps are standardized across the world. This means no matter where go, you will be able to read them in the same exact way.

The Evolution Of Map Printing

Thursday, November 8th, 2012

The history of Cartography has been in the centre of the map making industry for the longest time. This makes detailing modern day maps even more efficient in terms of accuracy. Cartographers have worked diligently over the years to ensure that map making is virtually flawless. A modern day map is made in such a way that it allows for excellent legibility and accuracy. This has not always been the case as the print and map making industry have greatly evolved hand in hand to their current form.

The history of printmaking has seen it develop from early methods such as stencils to the more intricate ones which allow more elaborate maps to be made. The modern techniques have all been as a result of a long process which has seen milestones reached and surpassed. Lithographic printing was widely regarded as the most famous map making technique in ancient times. It’s a form of planography printing; this is a process involving printing from a stone surface on which a design is drawn using greasy tools. On the greased out image on the stone is where ink is applied using a roller. After this stage it is then transferred onto the printing surface.

This method was known to produce a relatively large amount of copies with just a single specially designed stone. The duration of the maps made from this technique were limited to the material the printed surface was made from. Another drawback is that the designed map could not have all the details a modern one has. After the simple lithographic age was over, the need arose for a more detailed map. The immediate answer to this predicament came in the form of Chromolithography. This method is similar to lithography but allows for a lot more detailed results. Map makers made the breakthrough after it was realized that it was possible to paint over a lithographic image without distorting the quality of the original. This enabled designers to come up with more refined maps as different stone images could be painted over each other. This subsequently gave the map more intricate detailing and went a long way in ensuring accuracy was achieved. The above examples are very laborious and map printers had to find a way to cut the work load when carrying out this important function.

It was with the discovery of printing in Gutenberg, Germany as well as in Caxton, England that technical knowledge had advanced to the point where more than one copy of a document could be generated. Sometime in the 16th century Gerard Mercator had discovered a major breakthrough in cartography. Mercator’s Projection was a cylindrical map drawing, which became the standard map used for nautical purposes. During the 17th century however, a family of from Amsterdam, the Blaue’s, determined to print and publish the first Atlas of the world. Such was the work of the Blaue family, that it has never been surpassed or even rivalled. Unfortunately a fire destroyed these prints and only a few had been rescued which were distributed between the various cartographers of that time.

Herman Moll was a cartographer as well as an engraver for both Christopher Browne and Robert Morden. During the 1690′s he published his first important singular work known as the Thesaurus Geographicus. The success of that publishing largely determined his resolution on printing his own maps.

Frederik De Wit, was also a notable cartographer from Holland. His first charts were engraved and published in 1645. He was also well known for his cartographic images of city maps (Rijsel and Doornik). De Wit’s atlas first came into being during 1662. He managed to expand his portfolio rapidly publishing no less 158 land maps and 43 charts.

As the 18th century brought about the Industrial Revolution , an increase in affluence allowed many to purchase and invest in maps and atlases. as the popularity for maps grew, so did the demand for more up to date accuracy instead of the over-the-top adorned maps and prints that were a characteristic of the work of many cartographers for centuries before. During the 18th century maps which had been previously engraved on copper were being engraved on steel instead. As steel is stronger than copper these maps could be produced in larger quantities. Thomas Moule was a very successful map-maker during the 19th century. His best known works are of exceptionally decorated county maps of England. His were steel engraved maps, which were published for the first time between 1830 and 1832. Many maps during the 19th century became more factual rather than ornamental.

Modern printing methods have made mass production of maps a fairly attainable feat. This has been made possible by the continuous advancement of technology relating to the printing industry. Furthermore modern maps are the most elaborately detailed than ever to hit the market. The inclusion of photographic media in maps is a trend made popular in modern times. It simply is more effective from the map reader’s perspective. Modern advances in the field such as the introduction and perfection of photogrammetry have made it extremely easy to print accurate maps. It uses special cameras to easily turn landscapes into maps. This is then printed out into many copies and distributed at a relatively cheaper cost when compared to the history of printing from before.

The printing press is the driving force behind modern techniques. Coupled with extensive cartographic research has made it possible for very accurate depictions of landscapes to be produced. Maps printed in modern times are done so in an accurate scale enabling navigators to follow them, allowing them to appreciate the history of mapmaking to an even greater extent. This rich history has seen the industry evolve from employing ancient methods to the more recent advanced techniques.

How To Avoid Being Hypnotized By Your Television

Monday, November 5th, 2012

Many people are being held hostage. Not by terrorists from third world countries who wish to do you harm. By Madison Avenue executives who wish to squeeze every penny they can out of your wallet. Do they sneak into your home while you’re sleeping and pick your pocket? No. Do they hack your accounts online and steal your credit cards? No. Do they bribe the cute teller down at the bank to siphon funds from your account? No.

They trick you into giving them your money happily and willingly. You do this every time you buy something that you saw advertised on TV. How do they do this? Well, they’ve been doing it for a while. When the TV was invented, a certain group of people rejoiced. They rejoiced more than those lucky folks who discovered gold in California back in 1849. Who were these people? Happy housewives looking to pass the time? Lonely widows who wanted some company at night? No. These happy people were corporate advertisers.

You see, when people sit down to watch TV, they let their guard down. Imagine that you’re reading the paper. You are reading an interesting article on the sports page. You turn the page to complete the article, and you are hit with an advertisement. You have a choice. You can continue to read your article, or you can pause and read the ad. You have a choice. Most people skip over the ad and read the article.

But what happens when you’re watching TV and an ad comes on? You have to wait. You figure it’s only thirty seconds, and the program will come back on. So you relax, and enjoy the commercial. But some of those commercials are pretty entertaining. Some of them are even better than the TV show. You’re actually interested in the commercials.

All the while, the desire to buy those products is seeping into your unconscious. So much so that when you hit the shops, you have an almost unconscious desire to buy those things you’ve seen advertised. You feel you aren’t complete unless you own them. After all, those people in the commercial were certainly happy when they had them. Won’t you be?

Naturally, the way to avoid such shenanigans is to shut off the TV completely. Or do something drastic. Change the channel when the commercials come on. Watch DVDs instead of what’s on TV. Use your TV to play video games instead. Whatever you do, don’t let those commercials invade your brain and turn you into a product purchasing zombie.

Many people are always looking for a great deal on a new TV. If you want a TV, then come on by our TV site today. Boresha ARG Matrix reviews

A Wedding Videographer Can Capture Your Fairytale

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

The closest things we have to the happy endings which we only see in fairytales are weddings. It’s a sincere assurance to remain together and a celebration of love shared by two persons for all of their lives. You’ll require the help of a wedding videographer in order to make this moment last forever.

What should you know in selecting video recording companies?
1. Ask them regarding their number of years in the filming industry and whether they have been dealing with marriage events ever since. It is better to do business with a more seasoned team because they already know what to expect and anticipate from the occasion. Those who have been in the business for a long time would also find out how to handle unforeseen challenges well in case complications arise.
2. Try to inquire about the number of individuals who normally work during actual filming. A minimum of two videographers are normally required. The finished product gets to have more drama with more angles being recorded.
3. You may ask the videographers about possible photographers they have worked with before if you don’t have anyone yet. It would be much easier for photo and video teams to generate great outputs for your event if they have already collaborated before.
4. Request for sample videos they have completed with past customers. This is the perfect strategy to appraise their style and the quality of their work.
5. Ask what kind of services they provide and which parts of the ceremony can they film. Some will no longer cover your reception while others do pre- and post-nuptial footage.
6. Also review their equipment and gears for shooting. Modern gadgets for video, sound, and lighting should be available.

What should you discuss prior to closing the deal?
1. If you think that you have already found a company that best suits you, it is time to communicate your needs and expectations. Let them know which areas of the event you would want to cover and the type of style you desire to see in the film.
2. Be aware of the cost of their deals. Set a decent budget ahead of time so that you will not end up spending beyond your means.
3. A written contract that thoroughly outlines the services to be provided and the agreed settlement should be made available.

Make your wonderful occasion last forever with wedding videos. Take your time in discovering the suitable team of professionals to complete the job. Excellent videos make reminiscing more special every time.
